For example, when you read that the suspect tried to pass on various documents to his handlers, we envision a guy in a gray trench coat and wide brim hat holding a brown envelop marked “TOP SECRET”. A disk-on-key could surely hold much more information than anyone can carry and is nearly undetectable. Why should someone go out of his way to drive to the Israeli embassy, knowing full well that it is under constant FBI surveillance to drop of a document in the first place when it could be emailed ? And if it was a document related to policy, why not just sum up in 2-3 sentences what the policy states.
