I found various interpretations by medical experts regarding this tragedy informative. The Michael I know was not a monster but his action was monstrous. Michael was a loving parent and he even took 6 months maternity leave to care for his son Yuval. I can only feel great pain for both families and sad they cannot be together at such a time.

This tragedy has affected an entire country. My family and I hurt very much for Valerie who is being victimized for her son's actions. Trust you agree that media coverage can be sensational. Nothing will bring them back nor can anything justify such an act, but allow me to tell you that despite what is projected, this was no fairytale.

Michael may have been pushed to a corner by Hila's family for long which may have also contributed to a low self esteem and perhaps triggered this madness. It is sad he didn't get help or left while he could. But then do you know of many of our elite Israeli fighters, the cream of our society who will ask for help? Perhaps Michael was for a time, comfortable in this setting.

Hila the "lady/child" (as described by top police officials) was never allowed to grow up to be a wife nor mother. Regretfully her family took control of their lives, but most of all the family took total control of the babies. Could Michael have felt like a sperm doner? Could this have been a cause for Michael's extreme reaction?

I am sure you have read this eulogy by Daniel, Hila's 18 year old sister. I wonder what you think? Why would an 18 year old consistently use such phrases?

"NOBODY HURTS AS MUCH AS I DO. I had only one sister, I don't have a sister anymore, they murdered her, I love you, you raised me, cared for me, YOU BROUGHT YUVAL FOR ME, he was my life, you are his biological mother , I AM HIS SECOND MOTHER. I never loved anybody as much as I LOVE him. HE BELONGED TO ME more than anyone else. They murdered HIM/MINE with three bullets. I don't believe that I DO NOT HAVE HIM anymore. HE WAS MY CHILD, YOU TOOK MY CHILD. Hila I love you.

If this is not control then what is it? We all suffer from a "mother syndrome", and this 18 year old is quoting "someone". If Daniel is the second mother, I wonder who the first is. The Hebrew eulogy is taken from the local paper Yarok Bekfar No. 448 dated 31.10.2008.

Perhaps being such a high profile family, the entire truth will never unfold. I sincerely hope that history won't repeat itself with Daniel.
